Schedule a Meeting, Built Into Your Page
Visitors pick a time on your Bio / Profile Page and the booking lands in your calendar, your inbox and your CRM. No separate scheduling tool, no copying names into a spreadsheet.
Four ways for visitors to book
Different visitors want different things. Some want the soonest slot, some know which meeting they need, and some already have a date in mind. Upward gives each of them a view. The standard Events view is a list of your meeting types as cards, in a grid or a horizontal list.
- Events: your meeting types as cards with length, location and who can join. Visitors pick one, then a date and a time.
- Next Available: the earliest open times across every meeting type, in date order, with a calendar beside it and a View More Upcoming Appointments button.
- Meeting Type: filter by All Meetings, One-on-One, Group, Virtual or In Person. Each card shows its next open time and a Select button, then visitors choose a date and a time.
- By Date: a month calendar on one side and, for the day you tap, every meeting type and time that is open.
The same four views on a phone
Most visitors reach your page from a phone, so every view is built for a thumb. The calendars, time chips and cards stack into one column, and the view switcher stays at the top. When more than one view is on, a visitor can start from a screen that shows all of them at once.
You decide which views visitors see
Public View Settings are on the Events tab of the Meetings module. Each view has a switch and a drag handle, so you can turn views on or off and set the order. You can also decide how visitors arrive.
- Show all Views by default: visitors first see a choice screen with a tile for each enabled view. Each tile previews its view and has its own button, such as View Next Available, View Meeting Types or View Calendar.
- Standard Events position: show your meeting-type cards above the tiles, below them, or hide them from the choice screen.
- View example: a quick wireframe of the layout your settings produce, before you publish.
- If a visitor opens a link to a view you turned off, they land on your first enabled view, never on a blank page.
- Accounts created recently start with all four views on. Older accounts start with the standard Events view only until you turn the others on.
Every kind of meeting
Create offers four meeting types. Individual Meeting gives one slot to one person. Group Session lets several people share a slot up to a maximum you set, and guests count toward that maximum. Flex Sessions are for classes and mixed schedules: each session has its own days or dates, times, length, location, privacy and seats, and a Holidays editor closes dates. Custom Meeting is a private meeting you arrange directly, and it does not publish a bookable event.
- Phone: the visitor calls you, or you call the visitor. When you call, the visitor is asked for a phone number.
- In person: the visitor comes to your location, or you go to theirs. When you visit, the visitor is asked for an address.
- Virtual: Zoom, Google Meet, Meetn or your own link. Zoom and Google Meet create a new meeting for each booking, and Meetn builds a room link from your room name.
- Microsoft Teams creates a meeting per booking once the host connects a work or school Microsoft 365 account.
- Each meeting type has a name, a length of 15 to 120 minutes, a short and long description, and a public or private setting. Public and active are separate switches.
- Events with registration: group and Flex sessions show remaining spots, and registrants answer your form questions when they sign up.
Availability, buffers and calendar sync
Visitors only see times you can actually take. Your weekly hours, breaks and time zone set the baseline, and everything below removes time from it. Hours can be shared by all meeting types or unlinked so one meeting type has its own.
- Specific dates and holidays: block a whole day or set custom hours for one date, for all meeting types, only those with their own hours, or selected meeting types.
- Buffer time between meetings, set per meeting type or once for everything.
- Slot interval of 5 to 60 minutes, and a booking window that is either a number of days ahead or open-ended.
- Busy time rules: bookings can block only their own meeting type or all of them, and CRM activities you schedule can block time too, with optional padding before and after.
- Calendar sync with Google, Outlook and Apple Calendar. New bookings are pushed to your calendars, and busy events pulled from them block your availability. Calendar sync is separate from your video connection.
- Team Calendar events marked to block booking also remove time.
Guests and booking forms
A visitor can bring other people along when you allow guests. Each guest gets the meeting emails and can accept or decline, and guests count toward a group session's seat limit. You can also ask your own questions on every booking, so you arrive prepared.
- Question types: dropdown, multi-select, radio button, checkbox, text, text area, number and file upload.
- Mark questions required, set a minimum and maximum for numbers, and limit file types and the number of files for uploads.
- Show or hide the form without deactivating the meeting type.
- Answers are validated before the booking is saved and copied onto the CRM lead.
- Visitors can subscribe to your meeting updates by choosing group, one-to-one or special events and a contact method. Each subscription creates a lead too.
Confirmations, reminders and workflows
When a booking is made, the registrant, the host and any guests receive an email with a calendar file and manage links. Workflows add the rest. Each meeting type can have as many triggers as you need, and each trigger is a condition, a timing, an action and recipients.
- Conditions: when a meeting is scheduled, before it starts, when it starts, when it ends, when it is cancelled and when it is rescheduled.
- Timing: immediately, or 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, 1 day or 1 week away from that moment.
- Actions: send an email, send an SMS reminder, send a meeting agenda or schedule a follow-up.
- Recipients: the registrant, the registrant and their guests, you, or someone else.
- Merge fields such as attendee name, meeting title, date, time, duration, link, organizer and location.
- Attach documents, document links or videos. SMS reminders need an SMS number set up, and each workflow run shows as scheduled, sent, failed, skipped or cancelled.
Rescheduling and cancelling without the back and forth
Plans change. The manage link in every booking email lets the visitor move the meeting to another open time or cancel it, with an optional reason. You can also cancel from your side. Each change updates the calendar entry, notifies the people involved, runs your reschedule and cancel workflows and writes a timeline entry in the CRM. Visitors who lose the email can use Your Bookings on your page: they enter their email and receive their list of bookings.
Every booking lands in your CRM
This is what separates Upward from a calendar link. When someone books, Upward finds or creates the contact, then creates a lead in the first stage of your pipeline with the source set to a meeting booking. The lead carries the form answers, the notes, the guests and the full meeting detail: name, date, time, length, time zone, location and the video link. If a lead for that person is already open, the booking is added to it, so one person is one lead.
- A Meeting booked activity is added to the lead and the contact.
- A Meeting rescheduled or Meeting cancelled activity is added each time, with who made the change and the reason.
- Guest replies are written to the timeline too.
- A booking that starts from a MySite link is filed under the lead the MySite was made for.
- Bookings made from the Tracked Link you shared keep their source, so you can see which post brought them.

Visitors reschedule or cancel from a link in their email, and the change is logged in your CRM.
How Upward is different
Frequently asked questions
What booking views do visitors get?
Up to four: Events (a list of your meeting types), Next Available (the earliest open times across all meeting types), Meeting Type (pick a type, then a date and time) and By Date (a calendar first, then everything open that day). You choose which are on and in what order.
Which video platforms can I use?
Zoom, Google Meet and Meetn, plus a custom meeting link you paste in. Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams create a fresh meeting link for each booking. Microsoft Teams is in a pilot and shows as Coming soon where it is not switched on. The options you see also depend on which integrations your platform has enabled.
Does a booking create a CRM lead?
Yes. Each booking creates a lead in the first stage of your pipeline, and a contact if one does not exist. If the same person already has an open lead, the booking is added to that lead instead of creating a duplicate.
Can visitors book in their own time zone?
Yes. The booking page shows times in the visitor's zone and gives them a time zone selector. Your availability is stored in your working time zone.
Can I stop two meeting types from overlapping?
Yes. Busy time rules can make a booking on one meeting type block overlapping times on all your other meeting types. They can also let CRM activities block time.
Can a visitor reschedule without contacting me?
Yes. Booking emails include a manage link where the visitor can move or cancel the meeting. Guests can accept or decline. Every change is recorded on the CRM timeline and, if sync is on, in your calendar.
Do I need a paid scheduling plan elsewhere?
No. Scheduling is a module of Upward. Some meeting types, such as Flex Sessions, depend on your plan, and the lock on the Create menu shows what your account includes.
