BIO / PROFILE PAGE: SOCIAL MEDIA

Social Links That Only Show What You Fill In

List your networks once. Visitors see icons for the ones you use, in the order you choose, and nothing for the ones you leave blank.

WHAT IT ISSocial Media on your Upward Bio / Profile Page covers twelve networks plus custom accounts. A network appears only when it has a link, the link is checked before it saves, and you set the order by dragging. A company can preset a link, hide a network or lock it for every member.

Only the networks you fill in show

A network with no link cannot be switched on, and an empty network is saved as not visible. A visitor never sees an icon that goes nowhere, and you never have to hide the ones you do not use.

Order and custom accounts

Drag the handle beside any row to change the order. A custom link has a label, an icon you pick from the icon chooser, and an https address, and it sits in the same list so it can be dragged to any position. Remove a custom link with the trash icon.

Company controls

Owners manage this from Bio / Profile settings, under Social Media Settings. The rules apply to every member.

  • Preset a link per network. Members see it read-only, marked as set by the company
  • Hide a network, so it is gone from member pages and settings
  • Lock a network, so it is always shown and members cannot hide it
  • Unlocked company links can be hidden by a member but never edited
  • Choose whether members may add custom accounts

Where visitors see them

Visible networks appear as a row of icons in your profile card, under your contact details. Each opens your account in a new window.

Part of the front door, and every visit feeds the CRM

Social icons let people find you where they already spend time, and the page they come back to turns that attention into leads. The Bio / Profile Page is the front door to your business: a visitor who books a meeting, sends the contact form or follows a tracked link ends up as a lead or contact in your CRM, ready for follow-up by email, SMS or Vutesa.

Who it's for

Members who use a few networks and do not want empty icons
Teams that want the company pages on every member's profile
Companies that need brand accounts shown and locked
Creators with an account that is not on the standard list

How it works

Open Social Media Settings

Select the social icons area of your page. Every network is listed with a link field and a visibility switch.

Paste your links

Enter the full address including https. The editor checks it belongs to that network.

Order them

Drag the handle to set the order. Custom links can go anywhere, even to the top.

Let it save

Settings save automatically. Networks without a link stay off your page.

What's included

Twelve networks

Facebook, LinkedIn, X, WhatsApp, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, WeChat, Telegram, Snapchat, Pinterest and Talentsky.

Only filled-in networks show

A network with no link cannot be switched on, so empty icons never reach your page.

Link checks

A LinkedIn field accepts LinkedIn addresses, an Instagram field accepts Instagram addresses, and so on. A wrong address shows an example of the right one.

Safe saving

A link that fails the check is not saved. Your last saved address stays live and the editor says how many links need fixing.

Custom accounts

Add a label, pick an icon and paste an https link for any account that is not on the list.

Your own order

Drag networks and custom links into any order.

Company presets

A company can fill in its own link for a network so every member shows it.

Hide and lock

A company can hide a network from every member, or lock one so it is always shown.

How Upward is different

Links are validated per network, so a typo cannot send visitors to the wrong place
Empty networks never show, with no manual tidying
Companies can preset, hide and lock networks for the whole team
A company can switch custom accounts on or off
The page the icons sit on feeds your CRM, not just your followers count

Frequently asked questions

Why is a network's switch greyed out?

A network needs a link before it can be switched on. Add the link and the switch becomes available.

Can I add a network that is not listed?

Yes, as a custom link with your own label, icon and https address. Your company can turn this off for members.

Can my company force certain networks onto my page?

Yes. An owner can preset a link and lock it, and a locked network is always shown. An unlocked company link can be hidden by you but not edited.

Can a company hide a network?

Yes. A hidden network does not appear on member pages or in their settings.

Where do the icons appear?

In your profile card, below your contact details. They open in a new window.
