BIO / PROFILE PAGE: SKILLS

Skills That Explain Themselves

Each skill on your page opens a short summary a visitor can read with a tap. Vutesa writes the first draft. You can replace it with your own words.

WHAT IT ISThe Skills module lists what you do as chips on your Bio / Profile Page. A visitor hovers on a computer, or taps on a phone, to read a short summary of each skill. Vutesa AI can write the summaries, or you can. Summaries you write yourself are never labeled as AI.

What a visitor sees

Skills appear as rounded chips. A visitor on a computer hovers over a chip to read its summary in a small popover. A visitor on a phone taps a chip and a sheet slides up from the bottom with the same text and a Close button.

  • AI summaries show a Vutesa AI insight label
  • Summaries you wrote show no AI label at all
  • Merge fields are filled with your real name, company and market

How skills get onto your page

Type one skill at a time and choose Add Skill, or ask Vutesa for a set. Generated skills are single words in title case, chosen from your profile and source materials, and any duplicates are skipped. If you already have skills, a prompt lets you add the new ones or replace everything.

Summaries: AI first, yours whenever you want

A summary is written moments after you add a skill. It is stored on the skill, which means visitors read saved text. Open View to edit it, and the moment you type, it is saved as your own Member summary.

  • Insert Member name, Company name or Vertical market from the buttons under the box
  • A Preview line shows the summary with live values filled in
  • Summaries are short, one paragraph addressed to the visitor

What can replace your words

Automatic generation only fills summaries that are empty. Two buttons replace existing text because you ask them to: Refresh on a single skill, and Regenerate Vutesa AI descriptions for all of them. If you have written summaries you want to keep, avoid the bulk button.

Source materials for better suggestions

The same source panel as About lets you add websites, documents or files. Vutesa prefers skills that your own material supports over generic business words, so a consultant with a case study PDF gets skills drawn from it.

Order, tidy up and show or hide

Drag the handle to reorder. Duplicates are marked in red with a note to remove or rename. The trash icon deletes a skill. The Show Skills switch hides the whole module, and the editor shows whether it is Visible to public or Hidden from public. Skills are included on every member plan.

Company control

Owners can rename Skills for every member, hide it, lock the name so members cannot change it, and decide whether members may add their own entries. Members keep their own skills and summaries.

Part of the front door, and every visit feeds the CRM

A visitor who reads a skill summary and wants to know more is one tap away from your meeting page or contact form. The Bio / Profile Page is the front door to your business: a visitor who books a meeting, sends the contact form or follows a tracked link ends up as a lead or contact in your CRM, ready for follow-up by email, SMS or Vutesa.

Who it's for

Professionals with several services or specialties
Members who want visitors to understand a skill without a long page
Teams that want consistent, personalized skill descriptions
Company owners who want to rename or hide Skills for everyone

How it works

Add skills

Type a skill and choose Add Skill, or let Vutesa suggest 3, 5, 8, 10, 12, 15 or 20 skills from your profile.

Review the summaries

A short summary is written for each new skill. Select View to read it, or Refresh to ask Vutesa for a new one.

Write your own

Type in the summary box and it becomes a Member summary. Insert merge fields so it fills in names for you.

Order and publish

Drag skills into order and switch Show Skills on. Visitors see the chips right away.

What's included

Hover or tap summaries

On desktop the summary opens as a popover on hover. On a phone it slides up from the bottom of the screen.

AI skill suggestions

Vutesa suggests skills from your name, role, company, market, About text, education and source materials, skipping any you already have.

Add to existing or replace

When you already have skills, you choose between adding the new ones or replacing them all.

Honest labeling

AI summaries carry a Vutesa AI label. A summary you write or edit is marked Member summary and shows no AI label to visitors.

Merge fields

Insert Member name, Company name or Vertical market, and a live preview shows how it reads.

Regenerate on purpose

Refresh one summary, or regenerate every Vutesa AI description in one pass.

Drag to reorder

Grab the handle to put your strongest skills first.

Duplicate check

A repeated skill is flagged so you can remove or rename it.

How Upward is different

Summaries are stored on the skill, so visitors read saved text instead of waiting for an AI call
Your own wording is labeled as yours, never as AI
Merge fields keep one summary accurate across a whole team
Source materials ground suggestions in your real experience
The page it sits on sends visitors who want more into your CRM

Frequently asked questions

Are skill summaries labeled as AI?

AI summaries show a Vutesa AI label to visitors. A summary you wrote or edited is a Member summary and is not labeled as AI.

Can I replace an AI summary with my own?

Yes. Select View on the skill, type in the summary box, and your text is saved as a Member summary.

Will my own summary ever be overwritten?

Not automatically. Vutesa only fills a summary that is empty. Pressing Refresh on a skill, or Regenerate Vutesa AI descriptions, replaces the text on purpose, so use them only when you want a new AI version.

What are the merge fields?

They are placeholders for your name, your company and your market. They are replaced with the live values when a visitor reads the summary, so a shared summary stays correct for each person.

What happens if a skill has no summary yet?

The first visitor to open it triggers a draft, which is then saved on the skill. Later visitors read the saved text.

How many skills can the AI suggest?

You choose 3, 5, 8, 10, 12, 15 or 20 at a time. Suggested skills are single words in title case.
